An alumnus of the prestigious University of Edinburgh, Ummang has an M.Sc. in the Psychology of Mental Health. He has been the recipient of the GREAT Britain and Scottish Saltire Scholarships and is a member of all major Psychological Associations across the world. He has also worked in the United Kingdom with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. He is an advocate of increasing accessible mental healthcare to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as other socioeconomic minorities. Ummang has 5 years of industry experience with various populations.

He is an integrative psychotherapist and incorporates Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy with Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Somatic Interventions, Acceptance & Commitment therapy, and more. He is a Queer-Affirmative practitioner and offers trauma-informed, culturally contextualised care. His area of work also includes Cyberpsychology & Digitally Informed Care, for which he is also a published research author.
